Auto & Diesel Department
“Auto & Diesel” department was raised and established at its present location in year 2007 with assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Initially 50x students were inducted for 03 years Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) course. Strength of students was raised to 100x students in year 2010. Additional evening session of 50x students was commenced since 2015. Moreover, Short courses (morning) of 6 months duration in disciplines of Auto Mechanic and Auto Electrician were also started in 2013. The department is presently having seventeen faculty members (including Engineers and Associate engineers). Basic sciences subjects are covered by specialists of their respective subjects.
Mission of the department is to impart theoretical and practical training to students in the field of Automobile and diesel technologies on the course outlines of PBTE, NAVTTC and NTB. To accomplish the goal, the department assigns mini projects of specialist nature to 3rd year students on specific topics for in-depth analysis of the topics and brain storming of students to bridge the gap between the modern and conventional concepts.
The dedication and persistent efforts of all faculty members has remarkable effects on the results in their annual examinations in PBTE and other vocational institutions. Students of this department have credit to remain at Top positions in annual PBTE examinations since last 10 years. It is worthwhile to mention that most of the associate degree holders of this department have further continued that educational pursuit of bachelor’s degree from various HEC recognized Engineering institutes. Similarly same ratio is currently employed in institutions of national repute like KRL, NESCOM, HIT, KENPU, AWC and military officers and are performing well both at national & international prominences.

Message of HOD
The world we are living is periodically transforming global technical challenges in general and automotive industry in particular. Moreover, after rapid boom and increasingly demand of automotive industry in all contemporary and moderate countries, both state and its technical institutions now can’t afford to exist in a cloud above society. All of this would be nothing if we do not try to stay abreast of latest emerging trends, methods and techniques. Accordingly, we at Auto & Diesel Department (CTTI) are well considerate to move forward with motive and challenge to bridge gap in this profession by producing the focused human resource which could lead the guiding principles and future of automotive industry.
