History Of CTTI
Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) was established as Construction Machinery Training Center (CMTC) in May 1986 by the Government of Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The institute, A LIVING MONUMENT OF PAKISTAN – JAPAN FRIENDSHIP, is functioning under Ministry of Communications, Government of Pakistan and under the administrative control of Frontier Works Organization.
The Institute, having successfully achieved its aim and objectives, was upgraded in 1992 and renamed as Construction Machinery Training Institute (CMTI). Classes of Diploma of Associate Engineer in Mechanical Technology, Construction Machinery Planning and Employment Course and Construction Machinery Supervision Course were started in 1993.
Diploma of Associate Engineer in Civil Technology and “Capacity Building” Short courses i.e. Civil Surveyor, Civil Draughtboard, Building Electrician, Building Painter, Plumber and Sanitary Installer, Bricklayer/Mason, Carpenter and Construction Material Technician were introduced in 2006.
