Lab Overview

Quantity surveying in the public sector has been put to use right from the early years of postcolonialism as colonial administrations at the time when handing over control to the new sovereign governments. Major roles of Quantity Surveyors in administration are “Managing construction projects, giving expert advice on contractual claims, assessing the cost and act as an independent arbitrator in settling dispute”. In order to meet the futuristic demand in the construction field, Quantity Survey Department was established in 2011 at Construction Technology Training Institute. Apart from three years Diploma in Associate Engineering, short courses have also been organized successfully by this Department. Qualified students from this department not only are taking in part in National Development Programs but also working in Internationally renowned construction companies.
